Ha uns oito anos que recebo diariamente uma mensagem de um reverendo americano que me fala muito ao coracao. Me inscrevi para receber suas preces muito antes de pensar em viver aqui. Suas preces me ajudam em muitas ocasioes e, coincidentemente, depois da "Terapia"ai de cima, fui ler a prece de hoje. Caso vc nao entenda muito bem o ingles, tente assim mesmo. Eh linda. Na verdade nao eh uma prece, sao sempre estorias que nos contam e esta encarei omo se fosse uma respostas as minhas preces:

God Cares for You

Years ago Mahatma Gandhi was approached by an atheist who had a request. He wanted Gandhi to work with him to organize and promote an anti-Godsociety. Gandhi replied, "It amazes me to find an intelligent person who fights against something which he does not at all believe exists."

God is with you this moment and God cares for you. Allow me to tell you the story of a man named Charney. He incurred the displeasure of his very close friend Napoleon, who punished him by lockinghim in a dungeon prison cell. While Charney was in prison, no one from the outside world visited him. In depression, he scratched the words "nobodycares" into the stone wall of his cell with a rock he found on the floor. He sat in the dungeon month after month studying his bleak surroundings. He noticed that a green shoot began to grow through a crack in the floor. Every day he would save a little bit of water he was allotted so that he could water the little green shoot. Soon this plant developed a bud, and a beautiful blue flower unfolded into full blossom. With the rock on the floor, Charney scratched through the words he earlier wrote on the wall,and above them, wrote "God cares."

The man in the cell next to Charney was allowed visits from his daughter. He told her the story of how Charney had cared for the flower. She sharedthe story with people in the outside world, and eventually the storyreached Empress Josephine, who commented, "A man who so devotedly lovesand tends a flower cannot be a bad man."
She persuaded Napoleon to set Charney free. He took the flower home and carefully tended it the rest of his life because it taught him to believe in God.

If I show you my watch, it is evidence that somewhere, sometime awatchmaker existed.
If you look at the shoes you're wearing right now,they are evidence that somewhere, sometime a shoemaker existed.
If you gaze at the furniture in your house, it is evidence that somewhere,sometime a furniture maker existed.

When you look at yourself in the mirror, you are evidence of an unseen power: a God who never sleeps, a God who has an ear which always hears, a God who is a light which never dimsin darkness, a God who is your strength which never gives way, a God who is a love which never fails.
There is a belief in the world that prevails that God is somewhat inaccessible, that God can be approached only through certain religious ordinances; that is, a person must profess religion, pray in a formal way,attend church in order to know God.

But these are merely opinions tha thave been taught and accepted by those who perceive the letter instead of the Spirit. For if God is Spirit, love, intelligence, and life, everywhere present at all times, God must be just as accessible as anything in life and fully as free from formalism.

There are many spokes on the wheel leading to the one hub which is God.

WHY-- because God is so accessible to you, wherever you are in life.
Begin today to meld your mind into a glistening new mold, a vessel for God's ideas and a holder of faith. Heat it, purify it, melt it, and strip away the dark, useless empty parts.

Refine and reshape it. Chisel and hammer into your mind all the beautiful, harmonious thoughts and visions –a spectrum of spiritual light and sound.

Create in you a new dimension, a spiritual reality, a fresh start at being. Realize who you are in this day. Realize that you are equipped to do what you wish to do with God’shelp. Realize that what you desire, what you pray for, can be accomplished with God.

You are marvelously equipped to be all that you want to be right now. Spiritually you lack nothing. You are a child of God, and you are very aware of your daughtership, and your sonship with the Almighty.

You rejoice in the experiences of your life. You do not look back or long for the past. You hold no grudges. You move on in life unencumbered. You are a spiritual being. You are strong and capable of accepting the responsibility of your own person.

You are in wardly guided, out wardly protected. You walk the way of this earth, doing that which is yours to do.
God is with you this moment: you have found God in this moment.
God cares for you and is walking beside you, and before you, into your tomorrows.
You are aware of God's presence. God sees your hurts;
God knows your prayers; God is a very present part of your life.
